Ranked Polls is an opt-in Pro module alongside the existing Polls module. Create one-off, daily or weekly schedules without a third-party API key, payment integration or game-server installation.
What you get
Repeating rounds
A schedule starts immediately, then repeats every 24 hours or 7 days if selected. Choose 1–168 voting hours, no longer than the repeat interval. Each round starts without votes.
Ranked ballots
Rank all 2–8 choices once, in preference order. Vote again to replace your ballot before closing. Results use instant-runoff counting; a tied lowest count leaves the remaining candidates tied.
Saved state and access controls
Schedules and ballots survive restarts. Managers create and stop polls. An optional voter role limits participation; members also need access to the poll channel.

Set up ranked polls
Enable the Ranked Polls module, select the intended server in settings, switch on Enable in this server and save. Use the normal regenerate/start workflow. Existing bots and basic Polls behavior are unchanged.
In settings, optionally choose a text or announcement channel, a manager role and a voter role. Managers need Manage Server or the selected manager role. The bot needs View Channel and Send Messages; the manager must be able to view the target channel.
Create a poll with /rankedpoll create question:Next event? options:Games | Quiz | Movie hours:12 repeat:weekly. Daily and weekly mean fixed elapsed intervals from creation, not local calendar times. Changing the default channel affects new schedules only.
Use /rankedpoll results id to see choices, tally rounds, delivery state and whether the result is provisional or final. Use /rankedpoll stop id to close current voting and stop future rounds of that schedule.

Frequently asked questions
What happens after downtime or an announcement failure?
Expired rounds are skipped. The scheduler opens only the current voting window, checking about every 30 seconds. Announcements are attempted once and never replayed after an uncertain send. Use results to check delivery, then inspect the channel before sharing manually.
How are winners, ties and ballot privacy handled?
A choice with more than half the votes wins. Otherwise the unique lowest choice is eliminated and ballots transfer to their next remaining choice. A tied lowest count stops counting with all remaining choices tied. Commands show totals, never individual ballots; ballots are stored in the bot database. Final results are read with results, not automatically posted.
What limits apply?
Configure 1–10 active schedules per server (default 5). Each round supports up to 10,000 voters. Up to 200 schedules are retained per server; closed rounds and their ballots expire after 30 days. Disabling the module pauses its commands and scheduler.
