A Discord giveaway bot that picks winners for you

What it needs

• The bot needs View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Add Reactions to post a giveaway and add its 🎉 entry reaction. It needs Read Message History to fetch giveaway messages and reactions, and Manage Messages only when it deletes the command message.
• It uses Message Content Intent for prefix commands. People starting, ending, rerolling, listing, pausing or setting requirements for giveaways need Manage Messages; people using !gconfig need Manage Server.

Setting it up

1. Open Giveaways in your bot’s Modules tab. Set Default Required Role, or turn on Enable Account Age Requirement or Enable Server Join Requirement if future giveaways need entry rules.
2. Optionally choose a Giveaway Ping Role and set Embed Color. These saved defaults are used when a new giveaway is posted.
3. Run !giveaway with a duration, winner count and prize, such as !giveaway 1h 1 Nitro. Use !glist to inspect active giveaways.

Example

Running !giveaway 1h 1 Nitro posts a GIVEAWAY embed with Nitro, React with 🎉 to enter!, Winners: 1, an end time and the host; the bot adds the 🎉 reaction.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

• A giveaway or reroll can select from 1 to 20 winners.
• Default role, account-age and server-join requirements are saved into each new giveaway. The bot checks eligible entrants again when it draws or rerolls winners.

If it doesn’t work

• A member’s 🎉 reaction disappears: check Default Required Role, Enable Account Age Requirement and Enable Server Join Requirement. The bot removes entries that do not meet a configured requirement.
• The bot cannot start a giveaway: give it View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Add Reactions in that channel; the person starting it also needs Manage Messages.
• No winner is announced: nobody who reacted met the saved entry requirements. Review the requirements or run a new giveaway with the intended defaults.
