One-attempt quizzes that grant Discord roles
Publish a question with two to four button choices and select the correct answer plus an ordinary reward role. Each member gets one saved answer; a correct answer attempts to grant that role.

Quiz Roles is a Free, opt-in module. It starts off in every server, including existing bots, until an owner enables it in server settings and a manager publishes a quiz. It is separate from Fun's in-memory trivia.
What you get
One saved answer
The bot records the first button a member chooses before attempting any role action. A wrong answer is final, and later clicks get a private already-used response. Attempts survive a bot restart.
Role hierarchy checks
Managers need Manage Server or an optional manager role. The bot needs Manage Roles and must be above the reward role; non-owner managers must also outrank it. Managed roles and @everyone are refused.
A bounded workflow
Free allows one active quiz per server. Pro allows ten. Closing a quiz stops new answers and frees a slot, but never removes roles that were already granted.
Example commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/quizrole create question options correct role [channel] | Managers publish a question. Separate two to four choices with |, provide the 1-based correct choice, and select an ordinary reward role. |
/quizrole list | Managers privately list active quizzes with their reward role and saved attempt/correct counts. |
/quizrole close id | Managers close one active quiz. New answers stop immediately; existing grants remain in place. |

Set up Quiz Roles
Enable Quiz Roles on the bot's Modules tab, open Settings, select the server, turn on Enable in this server and save. You can also choose a default text or announcement channel and optional manager role. Existing bots remain inactive until this switch is saved.
Create a low-privilege reward role such as Quiz Passed. Give the bot Manage Roles and put its highest role above Quiz Passed. A manager who is not the server owner must also sit above that reward role.
Run /quizrole create question:What is 2 + 2? options:Three | Four correct:2 role:@Quiz Passed. Test a wrong answer with one member and a correct answer with another before sharing it widely.
Use /quizrole list to review active questions and answer counts. Run /quizrole close id when the quiz is finished. Closing it frees a Free or Pro active-quiz slot without changing roles already granted.

Frequently asked questions
Can a member retry a wrong answer?
No. The first selected button is permanent for that member and quiz. A correct result attempts one role grant. If Discord rejects that grant because hierarchy or permissions changed, the answer is still used; fix the role setup before publishing future quizzes.
Which roles are safe to use?
Use a dedicated ordinary role such as Quiz Passed. Do not use staff, billing or access-critical roles for an initial test. The bot refuses @everyone and managed integration roles, and it will not grant a role above its own highest role.
What does disabling or closing a quiz do?
Disabling Quiz Roles for a server makes its quiz buttons report that answers are closed. Closing an individual quiz also blocks new answers and releases its active-quiz slot. Neither action removes a role already granted.
